Defleshed by Reptiles

1. DSR-029 “STABBED - Defleshed by Reptiles” (CD) New York brutal death metal newcomers STABBED receive their first-ever CD release worldwide. Formed in Long Island, New York in 2020, STABBED released their first EP “Defleshed by Reptiles” on 7-inch through rising North American death metal label Maggot Stomp. This Japanese edition from Dead Sky Recordings marks the first CD version anywhere in the world. The music covers a wide range: traditional brutal death metal in the vein of Defeated Sanity, the NYDM approach of Dying Fetus and Internal Bleeding, and even D-beat and hardcore punk elements. Some members also play in powerviolence band Blame God and NYHC band JAB, and that background can be heard in the record’s especially groovy passages. Because of the pandemic, the band had only played a handful of shows at the time, yet their second-ever live appearance already saw them supporting Dying Fetus in Long Island — a clear sign of both their ability and the expectations surrounding them. Their future releases and live activity should be well worth following. Tracklist 1. Mangled Limbless Lying in Mud 2. Savage Bite to the Head 3. Peeling Back Your Face 4. Defleshed by Reptiles 4 tracks. Jewel case with obi. Originally released November 10. Original price: ¥1,200 including tax.
