A crushing split between two heavyweight bands: Terminal Nation, delivering blunt-force heaviness from Arkansas, USA, and Tokyo death-metallic hardcore band KRUELTY, continuing their descent into total darkness. The original international edition is handled by the prestigious US label 20 Buck Spin, while this domestic Japanese edition is released by Dead Sky Recordings, operated by members of KRUELTY. Both bands contribute tightly written standout tracks. Terminal Nation follow the death metal direction of their first full-length while bringing back some of the punk energy of their earlier material — exactly the kind of sound worthy of their self-description as “death punk.” Mixing was handled by Ryan Bram, who has previously recorded bands such as Gatecreeper, resulting in a modern production that never loses its raw edge. KRUELTY contribute two tracks that continue the path established after their first full-length, but with even bolder arrangements and a more aggressive attack. From charging D-beats to sudden beatdowns, they absorb every form of extreme music and reshape it into something unmistakably their own. Mixing was once again handled by Taylor Young. To give the split a unified finish, all five tracks were mastered together by Brad Boatright, one of the leading figures in the US hardcore and metal scene. The result is a production built to stand on a world-class level. 5 tracks. Standard jewel case.
