Untopia

1. KRUELTY formed in summer 2017 and, through a constant run of releases and live activity, quickly became one of the most accomplished bands in Japan’s metal and hardcore scenes. Three years after the highly acclaimed 2020 debut album “A Dying Truth,” the band finally release their second full-length, “Untopia.” Profound Lore Records of Canada, which handled the LP edition of the previous record, has now officially signed the band, while the domestic Japanese edition is released through Dead Sky Recordings, operated by the members themselves. In January 2022, while international travel was still difficult due to the COVID-19 pandemic, KRUELTY undertook the first US tour of their career and completed it successfully. Immediately afterward, they recorded and mixed this album in Los Angeles at The Pit Recording Studio, operated by renowned US hardcore producer Taylor Young. Mastering was handled by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. The result fully embodies the balance the band has always pursued: heaviness without sacrificing roughness. Following the release, the band planned a world tour covering North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, setting the stage for an even greater leap forward. 7 tracks. Standard jewel case. Tracklist 1.
